Cycling/ Outdoor Wednesday

Harbour at Beaverton, Ontario

The concrete breakwater in the harbour at Beaverton is a magnet for pedestrians and cyclists who want a better view of the harbour than they can get from the shore. It also attracts seagulls but they seem to have vanished...temporarily.

Also, looks like a great place to meet girls (guys).

Is there only railing on one side of that walkway? Or is it just me being vicariously scared?

Darla,
Yes there's a railing on one side only. The breakwater is much wider than it appears in the photo, though.

If the house wasn't there on the left i would think that was the Barnegat Lighthouse in New Jersey.

You feel like you are in the water when you go on those barriers.

Looks like a great spot to bike and walk. Funny the gull disappeared when you pulled out your camera! :) This would be good for Watery Wednesday too!

This looks like a wonderful place for a stroll, especially if there is a nice breeze coming off the lake.

What a great place to bike through...I would love to do that.
Is that a lake? And if so which one would it be?

I would probably get of the bike and walk on that pier. Looks narrow to me.
